An exciting opportunity is now available within a leading manufacturer of interconnect solutions, this established organisation operates worldwide and has some differentiating niche solutions to complement its comprehensive product portfolio. The industry sectors that we target are industrial, medical, automotive, military & aerospace etc.

 

The main requirement of this role is to spearhead this organisations revenue growth in the main aerospace & defence OEMs.

 

Position:

 

As a business development leader, your primary responsibility is to ensure that the sale target of £8 million+ is achieved and surpassed.

• Part of this role is to manage and develop two sales engineers, it is expected that this will be accomplished by offering motivation & support and strategic direction.
• You will be responsible for creating and implementing a business development strategy.
• You will be working closely with engineers and technical decision makers; therefore, it is expected that you will possess a strong technical aptitude within the interconnect/electronics industry, as well as being a good communicator.
• A pro-active sales personality and a proven track record of developing multi-million project wins in the aerospace & defence sectors is important.
• This is a fast-paced role where you will be expected to be a business development leader, whilst also maintaining a strong emphasis on being customer facing and helping secure new design-in wins.
• You need to be the most motivated individual in the room and have the gravitas to inspire confidence with your colleagues.
• To be the first point of call to the sales engineers when they need advice and guidance.
• To be part of the management team.
